Our session started off in the control tower and a cloud giant visage appearing before the party. She talked of missing her husband, Blagothus, and being uneasy with the goings on of the castle. Dara, reacting to her plight, said “That must be so hard for you”, to which Gold Brain’s reaction was assuming it was meant for him.  Eventually, they left Escarlotta alone in the control tower and went to rest, with a plan to sneak back in during the day and crash the castle.

Setting up camp in a guest room, the party discussed killing the vampire while it lay helpless, but some were not good with that from a moral perspective, and others not so good with it in a poking the wasps’ nest perspective. As the fogs lifted and the day grew brighter, the party approached the tower to find an ogre in there watching the controls. It was decided to use the dismembered hand with Paavu’s musk all over it to send the ogre to dreamland.  Unfortunately for the group, that failed and it costs the ogre his life, but not before he sets off the alarm.

Everyone but the two largest party members, Dakota and Paavu (in that order), are inside the tower dealing with the ogre when a rhythmic thundering began approaching the party.  Blagothus charges Paavu, and Paavu charges back. While the Giant and Paavu pummel each other, Nuka turns into an umber hulk and bores a hole through the top floor of the tower, creating perhaps the future name of a dive bar, the Umber Hulk.  She makes would no one would classify as her most graceful leap from the second floor, hitting the ice with nearly every part of her umber body.  The rest of the party rushes down the stairs and out the Lower Umber Hulk Hole.  Dakota musters his endless courage and charges the giant. Gold Brain applies some red dragon blood to his rapier, and Dara launches, and hits, 5 scorching rays on the cloud giant.
