In the midst of a tight battle with a white dragon, the group picks up where they left off with getting up close and personal with the white dragon. Shava attempted to toll the dead but the will was too strong. Paavu smashes Xantor’s Rage into the side of Glazhael causing anger and she launched herself by the casters in the back, Dara and Shava. She reared up and beat her wings furiously, causing Dara to fall prone. Glazhael’s anger was made material as she struck out with her claws and teeth at Shava, causing her to fall unconscious, something she has become accustomed to.
From afar, Paavu unable to get up the cliff Glazhael was now atop, pointed the decrepit hag hand at the dragon and launched a small flurry of magic missiles. After sustaining a bit more damage, Glazhael had seen enough and flew at extreme speeds out of the cavern and out of the flying castle. The heroes had thought the fight was over, but suddenly an uproar from outside came as the dragon was warning that they were stealing the treasure.
Nuka the umber hulk thought quickly and tunneled directly to the treasure frozen beneath the ice and found hoard larger than they could carry. To sabotage the offering up to Tiamat, she dug a hole and saw the rest of the coin drop from the flying castle to the darkness below, a small fortune released into the wild. The Munch Bunch did some quick healing and ran out of the caverns looking to hide or fight before being found, only to run into 2 of the Creed that had some running to ease the commotion.
The party all bunched up in the tunnels, was beset by a ferocious fireball that singed the hair of many. After a bit of positioning, and Dakota being downed, one of the magic casters falls to the burning dragon blood on the end of the Rapier of the Fallen Star. The other caster quickly disappears without a trace, and will he show up later? Dara sighs disappointment, as she drank a potion of fire breathing only to do normal air breathing the whole time. The party heals up a bit after drinking up their potions of long rest in one of the giant guest rooms. They then formulate a plan to find out how to crash this flying ice berg.
There is one tower they had not explored and could not see any ogres on top, so the party decided to look there. The lock was unpickable, and the door too strong for anyone in the party to open it. So Nuka turned into an umber hulk again tunneled underneath the tower and got the group in. As they stood around looking at the glowing runes they could not read, the walls faded away and they could see everything around them. Dara got shiftless and hit a run and the castle continued to drift. As the group hit a bunch of random runes, causing the castle to jerk in all directions, sound alarms and sound all clears, a cloud giant sized visage appeared before them…
